Other Leadership Changes Help APS Prepare for the Future

PHOENIX – In a move to better position APS to serve its customers now and in the immediate future, the company announced today a number of officer changes, including the promotion ofJacob Tetlow to the position of Vice President, Transmission and Distribution Operations. Previously, Tetlow was General Manager, Transmission and Distribution, Operations and Maintenance, a position he held since 2014. In his new role, Jacob is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe and reliable energy to APS customers.  These responsibilities include system operations and maintenance, as well as the construction of APS’s transmission and distribution grid.

“Jacob’s intellect, honesty and hard work have earned him the respect of co-workers and appreciation within the community,” said Don Brandt, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of APS.

Last month, APS also rotated several company executives to develop a leadership team with a broader view and a greater depth of knowledge: 

·        Pat Dinkel is now Vice President of Environmental and Chief Sustainability Officer. He formerly served as Vice President, Transmission and Distribution Operations.

·        Ann Becker is now Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer.  She formerly served as Vice President of Environmental and Chief Sustainability Officer.

·        Donna Easterly is now Vice President of Human Resources. She formerly served as Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer.

Easterly will report to Barbara Gomez, Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Gomez has announced her retirement effective in July after 38 years with the company.

Prior to joining APS’s Transmission and Distribution operations, Tetlow spent 11 years on the company’s Fossil Generation team working in roles such as Director of Gas and Oil Generation, Director of Coal Generation, and in various frontline and leadership positions at the Four Corners Power Plant and Cholla Power Plant.

Tetlow has extensive experience in developing leaders. He facilitated a year-long Leadership Academy at APS focused on high-potential leaders. He currently serves as chair of the distributed energy resources sub-committee for the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies , and is a member of the Association’s power delivery committee. He is also a member of Arizona State University’s industrial advisory board.
