07/29/2020

On July 29, APS CEO Jeff Guldner was named the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) Individual Power Player of the Year for 2020.

During the virtual awards ceremony, Julia Hamm, president & CEO of SEPA, had this to say about Jeff:

Since his appointment as president and CEO of Pinnacle West Capital Corporation in November 2019, Jeff has launched Arizona Public Service in a new direction announcing a clean energy commitment to deliver 100% clean, carbon-free and affordable electricity to their customers by 2050. Jeff has also made strategic organizational and leadership changes that align the company’s operations to support a future focused on customers, clean energy and economic development.”

The Individual Power Player of the Year award recognizes "an individual who, while working in the energy industry, has demonstrated leadership and innovation to significantly advance an integrated perspective of clean energy, distributed energy resources, grid modernization and its value as a resource to help meet the needs of their electricity consumers."

This year, SEPA received over 100 nominations across its eight Power Players Award categories, making it the most competitive field of nominees in the 15-year history of its industry awards. You can see the entire list of categories and winners here.
