William Mojica is senior vice president of operations for Arizona Public Service Company (APS). Based in Phoenix, APS is Arizona’s largest energy provider and serves about 1.4 million homes and businesses across the state.
In his role, Mojica oversees APS’s expanding generation portfolio, including integrated planning efforts to identify new generation needs in support of reliability and responsible growth. He is an energy industry executive with more than 27 years of experience leading complex operations with a strong focus on safety, reliability and people.
Most recently, Mojica served in senior leadership roles at NiSource Inc., including senior vice president of Technical Services and Engineering and senior vice president of Operations. In these roles, he led operations across a sixstate service territory and oversaw key enterprise functions spanning electric and gas engineering, asset risk management, system planning, gas control, damage prevention and operational support teams.
He has served on the boards of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA), NIPSCO Holdings II and Lifecare Alliance while also having contributed nationally through service on the DOT/PHMSA Gas Pipeline Advisory Committee and the Gas Electric Alignment for Reliability Committee through NARUC. Mojica holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona, an MBA from the University of Phoenix and is a graduate of the Stanford University Executive Leadership Development Program.
