Paul Mountain

Paul Mountain, CFA, is vice president of finance and treasurer for Pinnacle West Capital Corporation and its primary subsidiary, Arizona Public Service (APS), Arizona’s largest electric company. The companies are headquartered in Phoenix.

Mountain oversees the organizations’ management of corporate treasury, financial planning and analysis, pension and trust investment, and insurance.

Prior to joining the company in 2013, Mountain was director of investor relations for Exelon Corporation and held roles at Exelon in corporate planning, financial planning and analysis, merger integration and financial systems. Before joining Exelon in 2002, he was a consultant with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting.

Mountain is active in the community, currently serving as treasurer on the boards of both the Desert Botanical Garden and Native American Connections.

Mountain graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, and earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in finance and accounting. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute. He completed the Nuclear Reactor Technology Course at MIT and the Emerging CFO Program at Stanford University.
