Chris Bauer is vice president and treasurer for Pinnacle West Capital Corporation and its primary subsidiary, Arizona Public Service Company (APS), Arizona’s largest energy provider. The companies are headquartered in Phoenix.

Bauer oversees the organizations’ management of corporate treasury, capital raising activities, pension and trust investment, insurance and claims.

Bauer has more than 20 years of experience in the finance and accounting field, with his last seven years spent as Director, Corporate Finance & Assistant Treasurer at Duke Energy. In his role, he had responsibility for all of Duke Energy Corporation’s complex structured financial products, interest rate risk management programs, and all public capital raising activities that support the company’s investments, along with those of its regulated utility subsidiaries. Prior to Duke Energy, he spent six years with Deloitte in the Jacksonville, Fla. and Charlotte, N.C. offices serving numerous audit clients across various industries.

Bauer is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Flagler College and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Florida.
