APS/Pinnacle West currently offers scholarships in business, engineering, technology, trades and crafts, education, and health care at ASU, ASU West and the Maricopa Community Colleges. Developing the leaders of tomorrow by helping young people achieve their academic goals is just one way we give back to our communities. APS continues to support its scholarship recipients after graduation by strongly encouraging them to apply for internships and full-time positions with our companies.
The following scholarships are currently available:
The Four Corners Power Plant is unique in that it leases land from the Navajo Nation. Four Corners, located in northwestern New Mexico, has a scholarship program to prepare selected local Navajo students for careers related to the electric utility industry. The scholarships are available to Navajo students residing in the vicinity of the plant. Seventy-five students have graduated from the program since 1995 with 15 having been hired full-time.
The Palo Verde Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to deserving graduating seniors in the plant’s surrounding community. This is done with the goal of supporting and improving the community in which it operates, specifically by providing resources which help young adults in the community improve their opportunities and meet their educational goals.
PNW and its family of companies are Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employers
