2nd Tier is the utilization of Diverse suppliers by our major suppliers. APS' commitment to supplier diversity is fundamental to our core business strategy. One of APS' key objectives is to ensure that Diverse business enterprises are provided the maximum opportunity to participate in contracting and subcontracting opportunities for products and services. APS' prime contractors and major suppliers of manufactured products and services are expected to support us in our efforts by providing opportunities to Diverse subcontractors and suppliers.
The APS 2nd Tier Report identifies the utilization and dollars spent by prime contractors and major suppliers with Diverse suppliers.
The APS Supplier Diversity team monitors activity by requiring quarterly reports on all utilization of Diverse suppliers. Subcontracting utilization reported by prime contractors and major suppliers are only counted when they are to Diverse subcontractors and sub-suppliers.
Reporting forms are to be sent in to the APS Supplier Diversity and Development team by the 5th day of the month following the close of each calendar quarter. Please email the form to SUPPDIV@apsc.com: or mail it to:
