APS Funding Guidelines Through Corporate and Foundation Giving APS continues to be the leading Arizona corporate citizen. We support nonprofit organizations with a 501(c)(3) Internal Revenue Service tax exempt status through cash and or various in-kind services. We support our communities in five strategic areas: health and human services, community development, education, arts and culture, and environment. APS Corporate Giving does not fund individual requests, charter or private schools, religious, political, fraternal, legislative or lobbying efforts, travel related or hotel expenses, private non-profit organizations, salaries and/or debt reduction. All requests to Corporate Giving must include: Organization: Organization name, address, contact name, titles and telephone number. Also include your organization's Web site and e-mail address. Request: Requested amount including budget, specific use of funds and identifies sponsorship benefits. Project/Program Description: What are you hoping to accomplish? Include your objectives, outcomes and detailed budget. How will you determine if you reached those objectives and outcomes? Include your evaluation design that is objective and quantifiable in determining if your objectives and outcomes have been achieved. Describe your marketing tools, outreach and anticipated attendance/audience. Organization History and/or Description: Please include your mission and vision statement. Past APS/Pinnacle West/Sun Cor Contributions/Employee Involvement: List any financial, in-kind and or other type of APS or Pinnacle West involvement with your organization. This may include partnerships, volunteer projects, board position, APS Clown Troupe performance, printing, etc. Other Funders: What other companies/corporations/entities have provided you financial support? Please include program sponsored and dollar amount contributed. United Way Funds received: Amount received, program sponsored and percent of total program budget. Program Evaluation: Please complete an evaluation form if you have previously received a grant from the APS Foundation, Inc. or a sponsorship from the APS Corporate Contributions team. Partnering Opportunities: List other partnering opportunities if available. Please include with your request the following items: 501(c)(3) IRS Letter of Determination for Tax Exempt Status List of organization's Board of Directors One page line item budget for the program/project List of other funders including dollar amount of funding support
