Jack Cadogan

Jack Cadogan is senior vice president of site operations at Palo Verde Generating Station for Arizona Public Service Company (APS). Based in Phoenix, APS is Arizona’s largest electric company and serves more than 1.2 million customers across the state.

Cadogan is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day nuclear operations at the Palo Verde Generating Station, the nation’s largest power producer. At Palo Verde he previously held positions including vice president, nuclear engineering and plant engineering director.

Prior to joining APS, Cadogan spent 30 years in the energy industry, holding numerous positions in power plant operations support, design and construction. He served as director of engineering at the Duane Arnold Energy Center in Iowa. Prior to moving to that role in 2007, he was on loan to the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations for two years where he served as a lead evaluator in the equipment reliability area. He also served in several leadership roles at the Turkey Point Nuclear Power Plant.

Cadogan has a master’s degree in engineering management from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Science degree in marine (power) engineering from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
