Bruce Rash

Bruce Rash is Vice President of Nuclear Engineering and Regulatory Affairs at Palo Verde Generating Station for Arizona Public Service Company (APS). Based in Phoenix, APS is Arizona’s largest electric company and serves nearly 1.3 million customers across the state.

Rash oversees Nuclear Engineering at Palo Verde Generating Station – the nation’s largest power producer.  Bruce serves as the Chair of the Executive Oversight Committee of the Equipment Reliability Working Group and is involved in many industry-wide committees.

Rash also is responsible for Regulatory Affairs and Environmental areas of Palo Verde.

Prior to joining APS in 2016, Rash served in various roles at Exelon Nuclear Generation, most recently as vice president of nuclear engineering.  He has held several director roles including maintenance, project management and design engineering.  He was previously the system engineering manager at both Palo Verde and Palisades Nuclear Station and the site engineering director at Cooper Nuclear Station.  He started his career at Palo Verde in 1982 as an electrical system engineer.

Bruce has previously held Senior Reactor Operator licenses from Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station and Cooper Nuclear Station.

Rash graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and received a Master of Business Administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
